UKU Black Clay is a combination of clay, charcoal and ngā rāu (leaves). A once-a-week facial indulgence formulated from beautiful natural ingredients including Bentonite Clay and Activated Charcoal to effectively cleanse, remove toxins leaving skin baby-soft, smooth and bright. 
 
Apply on the face and neck as a detoxifying clay mask or as a rongoā paste on areas of concern on the body. Clay has been used by Māori for hundreds of years as a rongoā.
 
To activate your UKU Black Clay:
 
 Mix three teaspoons of UKU with a teaspoon of water.
Add a little more water or more powder to get a thick consistent paste. 
Apply the mask using a brush or fingers.
Smooth over your face and neck with fingertips or a clean brush.
Once dry, use wet hands to gently massage your face, using circular movements.
Rinse and remove any residue with a damp face cloth.
 
 
*I use this product in my Whare Hauora as a rongoā to draw toxins from the body. When I am using as a rongoā paste for areas of concern, I will use a larger amount depending on the size of the area.
 
I have added native plant medicines of Kawakawa and Koromiko which have powerful pulling and drawing properties when used as a poultice or paste.
